  • School Education: A Level Mathematics, Physics, Design & Technology
  • University Education: M.Eng. Civil Engineering with Architecture (Glasgow University), M.Res. Computational Modelling (Swansea University), Ph.D. (Swansea University).
  • Research Interests: Fluid-structure interaction for engineering and cardiovascular modelling
  • Project Role: Clare is a key member of the team that is developing the public engagement and schools outreach programme. She is one of the Swansea University engineers who will be visiting schools and science fairs to talk about the Bloodhound Project.
  • On being an Engineer: “Engineering is simply inseparable from every aspect of our lives. It is the house we live in, the water and energy and services that we use. The roads, bridges and tunnels that transport us, our defences and environment, the machinery of our everyday lives…. An enquiring mind cannot help but be drawn to some aspect of this fascinating thing called engineering”.
